Translation of one of the great Kirtans:
"Oh my friends, sing the Name of The Great Consciousness!
When it gets too damn hard, just sing.
Have no fear, don’t give up. Sing!
When it gets too good, sing.
When it falls apart, sing.
When it comes together, sing.
Cry and sing.
Sing and cry.
Living sing.
Dying sing.
Listening sing.
Singing sing."

Kirtan (90 minute practice) of mantra from the many great ancient traditions:
There are beautiful celebrations from the Judeo, Christian and Islamic traditions at this time of the year, so some of the Kirtan will have a Judeo-Christian-Islamic theme.
At this time, we can celebrate our own particular incarnation, along with the challenges of living a fully embodied life we were born for.

Kirtan is a precious practice that helps you to connect truly to your Heart thanks to the sounds and vibrations created by singing beautiful Mantras. Sharing this moment with the community even from your own home allows this energy to flow everywhere it is needed.
Suggestions to help you receive maximum benefits from your practice:
Create a sacred space for your practice and perhaps light a candle, clarifying your sankalpa or deeper purpose for your practice, before you connect.
When you come into the kirtan, the video will be turned off (to give you space to be ready for your practice). You can leave the video off if you prefer. Otherwise, when you are ready, turn on your video and then turn the phone or computer in the direction of yourself if you are happy to be seen by the other participants.
Come into the kirtan quietly, as you are able to. The link will take you to the kirtan and you can go there early, about 20-30 minutes before the start of the kirtan if you wish.
You can speak gently with one another before the class by unmuting your microphone (bottom left corner of your screen in Zoom).
Please make sure your microphone (bottom left corner of the screen in Zoom) is muted before the practice begins. You can then sing to your hearts content and play any instruments.
If you have a question or suggestion, you can unmute the microphone (bottom left corner of the screen) or you can type your communication to me via the 'chat' option.
