Good news for one who loves to practice Yoga and Meditation, (from one of the great Yogis who brought Yoga to the West), is that:
“Kirtan is the easiest and most joyful technique for Self realisation.”
Swami Sivananda Saraswati
You are invited to come and experience the practice for yourself and see if this is true for you.
The invitation is to connect with other like-hearted beings to sing and chant into fullness, the clarity of connectedness with ourselves and all beings, through the practice of Kirtan.
Time: 7.15-8.30pm
Where: Uprising Yoga Studio
Bookings: Link here and click on Kirtan scheduled this Friday
By Koha: All koha offered for the Kirtan event are for our local charity Conservation Volunteers supports the wellbeing of the Mother Earth here in Waitaha Canterbury, Otautahi Christchurch and Te Pataka o Rakaihautuu Banks Peninsula through planting of Native trees and vegetation. You can bring your koha with you to the Kirtan or give directly through this link. You can also come and help with plantings if you wish.
You might feel inspired to join the restorative class before the Kirtan or other beautiful offerings at Uprising.
All are also welcome to stay afterwards and enjoy the company of one another and beautiful kombucha, teas and vegan treats at the Uprising Cafe which is serving food and drink until 9pm and Uprising is open until 10pm.
It is beautiful that we have the opportunity to sing together again this month.
